Installation of Car Alarm

The installation of a car alarm can be quite interesting and one can successfully do it without any professional assistance. To do this a number of equipment should be present such as a knife, soldier material, screws, test light, scissors, drill tie wrap, screw bit, mounting tape which is double sided, voltage meter and a soldiering meter. Most important however, is the installation manual which gives a guideline on how to assemble each component of the car alarm. Therefore, caution should be taken to ensure that what is being done is per the manual direction which usually comes with the car alarm.

This is because there are a variety of car models and in most instances each of these models has its own unique lock and door and hence the need for a help line from the manufacturer arises. Aside from the manual, there should be a contact reference which one can use to question the type of locking system a car has. One can also confirm the connection details of the wires according to the colors so that the interface suits the alarm’s locking characteristics. Installation details of the relay which is meant for the door lock and wire color for the starter disable should be clearly understood .It is also important for installer to be well aware on how to hook the relay up and use the voltmeter set up whose sole purpose is to test the door lock wires for the car.
